A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd - 9/10

Felicity is a word collector. She sees words on people, and in places, and she collects the ones she likes.

Her family never seems to settle in one place - her mother is always on the move. When they end up in her mother's hometown, Midnight Gulch, Felicity begins to make friends for the first time in her life. Things are finally going well, but will Felicity be able to keep her mother from packing up and moving on again?

A snicker of magic may be needed to keep this family from the road.

OVERALL RATING 9/10

Deals with real-life struggles, diverse and interesting characters

I LOVED this book. A Snicker of Magic is a perfect example of how fantasy can be used to bring real-life issues to light. This book is fun, heartfelt, and feels so real (even though there is a snicker of magic involved 😏). The story has a cast of well-meaning and diverse characters who keep you interested through each page. I loved every second of it!
