Missuk hopes to one day be a great carver, like her father. One day, while her father is out on a hunt, a fierce storm blows in. Missuk begins to worry that her father may not make it home.

Indigenous representation, realistic child character
This beautiful story depicts a young girl living in a northern community. I loved the character of Missuk, as she simply acts like a child - no amazing heroic feats or strangely adult mannerisms. I really enjoyed this book.
